語源
impermanent は im-「否定」＋ permanent「永続する」から成り、permanent はラテン語 permanere「ずっと留まる」に由来します。つまり核は「留まり続けない」で、仏教訳の『無常』ともよく響き合います。関連語は remain、permanence。
