『at noon』は、正午ちょうどの時間を指す英語表現で、昼休みや予定の時間を伝えるときに使います。スケジュールを組むときや、待ち合わせを正確に伝えたいときに自然に使われます。日本語でいう『お昼の12時に』を表現する便利な定番フレーズです。
At noon means at 12:00 in the daytime, in the middle of the day. It is used when talking about an exact time for something to happen. Noon is more precise than saying lunchtime.

at noon の語源・成り立ち Etymology
noonは羅語nona hora（第九時＝午後3時頃）に由来し、古英語nōnを経て英語に入った。修道院の祈祷時間nonesと同根。中世に食事時間が早まるにつれ意味が正午へ移動した珍しい時間変化の例。atは時点を示す古英語ætから。
Noon comes from Latin nona hora, meaning "the ninth hour," which was originally around 3 p.m., and it passed through Old English non. Over time, as meal and prayer times moved earlier in the day, the meaning shifted to 12 o'clock. It is related to nones, the old church prayer time.
