不安やヒステリーなどの神経症の複数形。心理的な原因による精神的不調の総称。
Neuroses refers to mental or emotional problems that cause anxiety, fear, or unhealthy thought patterns, but do not usually involve losing touch with reality. It is an older psychological term and is less common in modern clinical language. It may still appear in general discussion, literature, or older texts.
