ラッドとは、放射線の吸収線量を表す単位であり、主に放射線医学や原子力分野で使用される。1ラッドは1グラムの物質が100エルグのエネルギーを吸収した量に相当する。現在はグレイ（Gy）という単位に置き換えられつつあるが、古い文献では今もラッドが使われることがある。
A non-SI unit of absorbed ionizing-radiation dose, equal to 0.01 joule of energy absorbed per kilogram of material, or 0.01 gray. It is now largely replaced by the gray but still appears in older scientific and medical material.
