便利で都合がいい方法で何かが行われること。不便でない、ちょうどいいタイミングで。また、皮肉的に、疑わしいほど都合よく何かが起こる場合にも使う。

conveniently は convenient に副詞語尾 -ly が付いた語。convenient はラテン語 convenire（con-「共に」+ venire「来る」）にさかのぼり、convene や convention と同根で、「都合よく」は物事がうまく一緒になる感覚から生まれた。
