discs は disc「円盤、ディスク」の複数形です。CDやDVDなどの丸い記録媒体や、薄く平たい円盤状の物を複数指します。
Discs are two or more thin, flat, circular objects, especially physical media such as CDs or DVDs on which sound, video, or data is stored. It is the regular plural form of disc.

- 枚数を示すときは three discs「ディスク3枚」のように、数の後に複数形を置きます。 Use the plural after a number indicating multiple discs, as in three discs.

CDやDVDが何枚か並ぶ様子を思い浮かべ、disc に複数語尾 -s を付けた discs と覚えましょう。disc の末尾が /k/ なので、-s は /s/ と発音します。

Discs is the regular plural of disc. Disc entered English through Latin discus, “a quoit or round plate,” from Greek diskos, a throwing disc. The ancient athletic object supplied the central image of a flat, circular shape. Disc and disk are spelling variants of the same word; modern usage often favors disc for optical media and disk for magnetic or computer storage, although the distinction is not absolute.
