乳化
解説 Definition
The process of dispersing tiny droplets of one liquid throughout another liquid that normally does not mix with it. Oil being distributed through water is a common example.
Memory Tip
emulsification of salad dressing
Connect emulsification with emulsify and the noun ending that indicates a process. Picture oil being whisked into tiny droplets that spread through the watery part of a salad dressing instead of simply forming a separate layer.
