An inseam is the length of the inner part of the leg on pants, measured from the top of the inside leg to the bottom. It is mainly used when talking about clothing size and fit.

in + seam と分けると覚えやすいです。seam は shirt の seam, side seam などの「縫い目」。そこに in が付くので、ズボンの外側ではなく脚の内側を走る縫い目だとイメージすると、そこから「股下」の意味へ自然につながります。服のサイズ表では waist と並んで inseam 30 inches のようによく出るので、「パンツの長さ確認で見る語」と場面ごと覚えると強いです。outseam が外側なのも対比で押さえると混同しにくくなります。
