地下で水平方向に伸びる茎のこと。植物が地中で広がり繁殖するための器官。
A `rhizome` is a plant stem that grows underground or along the surface and sends out roots and new shoots. In botany, it is different from an ordinary root because it can grow new stems and leaves.
