syntax が「語順・形」、semantics が「意味」、pragmatics が「文脈・意図」という3点セットで覚えると定着しやすい。semantic は形容詞で「意味の」、semantics は学問名・議論対象としての名詞。semantic difference は「意味の違い」、it’s just semantics は「中身ではなく言葉づかいの問題」。形ではなく meaning 側を扱う語だと押さえると、syntax と混同しにくい。
Learn it as part of a set: `syntax` is about form, but `semantics` is about meaning. The adjective is `semantic`, as in `semantic difference`. If you remember the phrase `it's just semantics`, the word becomes easier to fix in your mind.
