インターネット上でブラウザに表示される一つ一つのページを指す語。文字、画像、リンク、動画などを含められる。website がサイト全体を表すのに対し、webpage はその中の個別の1ページという感覚で使う。
A webpage is a single page on a website that you can open in a web browser. It can contain text, images, videos, links, and other online content. It is one part of a larger website, not the whole site.
覚え方のコツ Memory Tip
まず page を「本やノートの1ページ」として確実に押さえると覚えやすいです。webpage はそのまま「web上の1ページ」で、website 全体の中の1枚という感覚。トップページ、問い合わせページ、商品ページなどは全部 webpage。website と混同しやすいので、「site は場所全体、page はその中の1枚」と対比すると定着します。a webpage loads, open a webpage のように、ブラウザで開いて見る対象として思い浮かべると記憶に残ります。

web はもともと「網」を意味し、情報が張り巡らされた World Wide Web を指す語として定着した。page は「ページ」。この二語が結びつき、ウェブ上で閲覧される個別のページを表す複合語になった。
This word joins web and page. Web originally meant a net, and later became the common short form of World Wide Web, the network of linked online information. The compound then came to mean a single page viewed on the web.
