解説 Definition
家庭、学校、オフィスなどの限られた範囲で、コンピューターやその他の機器を接続するネットワークです。日本語では「構内ネットワーク」と呼びます。
A LAN, or local area network, is a computer network that connects devices within a limited area such as a home, office, school, or building. It allows connected computers and other devices to communicate and share resources or access services.
使い方 Usage
- LAN は通常、一文字ずつではなく /læn/ と一語のように読みます。 LAN is commonly pronounced as one word, /læn/, rather than as separate letters.
- connect to a LAN は「LANに接続する」。wired LAN は有線LAN、wireless LAN は無線LANです。 Connect to a LAN describes joining the network. A wired LAN uses wired connections; a wireless LAN uses wireless connections.
