広葉樹材とは、オーク・ウォルナット・チェリーなど、広葉樹から採れる木材のことです。分類上は針葉樹材である softwood と対になる語で、必ずしもすべてが針葉樹材より硬いとは限りません。家具や床材などに使われ、美しい木目をもつものも多いです。
