Informational describes something that is meant to give facts or useful knowledge. It is often used for books, websites, videos, signs, or meetings whose main purpose is to explain something clearly.
覚え方のコツ Memory Tip
information をそのまま形容詞にした語だと押さえるのが近道です。名詞 information が「情報」なら、informational は「情報に関する・情報提供用の」という働き。educational, promotional などと同じ -al で「〜に関する」と見抜けます。interesting や useful のような感想語ではなく、brochure, website, session, interview などに付いて「案内・説明目的の」内容を表す語。informative に近いものの、informative は「役立つ」「中身が濃い」という評価を帯びやすい点を区別すると覚えやすいです。
