コンピューターなどのキーを一度押す動作。入力の回数や操作の手間を表す際にも使われる。

key「キー」と stroke「一打ち」を組み合わせた複合語です。stroke には手や道具を一度動かすことという意味があり、タイプライターのキーを一回打つ動作を指す語として成立しました。
