固体または気体を液体に変える、あるいは液体になる過程。物理的な状態変化を指す。工業用途では、ガスを液化させることが一般的（液化ガス）。
Liquefy means to make something become liquid, or to turn into liquid. It is often used in science, cooking, and technical contexts. The word can describe both natural change and change caused by heat, pressure, or another process.
