To revolve means to move in a circle around a point or around something else. It is often used for planets, wheels, and other objects that turn or go around regularly. It can also describe ideas or activities that are mainly focused on one thing.

Think of `revolve around` as one useful chunk. `re-` often gives an idea of coming back again, so a thing goes in a circle and returns to where it started. Compare it with `rotate`: something can rotate on its own axis, but revolve around a center.
