衣料品では、他の上着の上に羽織る軽くて薄い上衣です。また、ネイルケアではマニキュアの上に塗布する透明な保護層のことも指します。
A topcoat is the final outer layer put over a surface to protect it and improve its appearance. It is commonly used in painting, nail care, and similar work. In some contexts, it can also mean a coat worn over other clothes.
