Anhedonia is a condition in which someone cannot feel pleasure, or feels much less pleasure than usual, from activities they normally enjoy. It is mainly used in psychology and mental health contexts.

an- は「ない・欠如」を表す接頭辞として押さえ、hedon- は hedonism（快楽主義）や hedonic の核と結び付けると覚えやすいです。つまり anhedonia は「pleasure がない状態」と分解できます。精神医学では depression と一緒に出やすく、"loss of interest or pleasure" と説明されることが多い語です。悲しいというより、食事・音楽・趣味など本来楽しめることから快感が抜け落ちる感じを思い浮かべると、単なる unhappiness や boredom と区別しやすいです。
