calibrated は calibrate に -ed が付いた形です。calibrate はフランス語 calibre『口径・規格』からでき、さらにアラビア語 qālib『型・鋳型』にさかのぼるとされ、caliber も同系。『型や基準に合わせる』感覚から『校正された』になりました。
