解説 Definition
folder は、書類やデータをまとめて入れるフォルダという意味です。紙の書類入れにも、コンピューター上でファイルを整理する場所にも使います。日本語の「フォルダ」とほぼ同じ意味ですが、紙の文具を指すこともあります。
A folder is a cover or container used to hold and organize papers. In computing, it is also a named location where files and sometimes other folders are grouped and stored.
