医学語は分解で覚えると強い。hema- / hemat- は hematology や hematoma で見かける「血」、-uria は proteinuria や polyuria などの「尿の異常・尿の状態」。つまり hematuria は「血＋尿」で、そのまま血尿。日常会話より検査結果や診断名で出やすく、blood in the urine と言い換えられる。hemo-, hemato- を見たらまず「血」を連想し、-uria とセットで尿関連の症状名だと押さえると定着しやすい。
