短縮形や速記ではなく、単語や文を全部書く手書きの方法。タイプライターやコンピュータではなく、手で書く。
Longhand means writing words out fully by hand in the normal way, not in shorthand. It can also refer to a full, detailed written version of something.

longhand は shorthand とセットで覚えると強いです。short が「省略して速く書く」なら、long は「長く、最後まで省略しない」。そこに hand が付くので、キーボード入力ではなく、自分の手で一字ずつ書く感覚が前に出ます。単なる handwriting よりも、「略記ではなく普通の形で全文を書く」という対比が大事。write in longhand, a letter in longhand のように、メモや手紙を省略なしで手書きする場面を思い浮かべると定着しやすいです。
Remember it with `shorthand`. If shorthand is quick writing with shortcuts, longhand is the full form with nothing shortened. The `hand` part also reminds you of writing by hand, letter by letter.
