病気の症状が一時的または長期的に軽くなったり消えたりする状態を指す名詞 remission の複数形。がんや自己免疫疾患などで、複数回の寛解がみられることや、複数の患者の寛解例について述べるときに使われる。
Remissions are periods when a disease becomes less severe or seems to disappear for a time. This word is often used in medicine, especially when talking about cancer or long-term illnesses. A remission does not always mean the disease is completely cured.
