まず re- を見たら「もう一度」。reprise は普通の repeat より、音楽・演劇・映画で「一度出た部分・役・主題をもう一回出す」と覚えると定着しやすい語です。曲のフレーズが後で戻る、俳優が同じ役を再び演じる場面をセットで思い浮かべるのがコツ。単なる機械的反復ではなく、“作品の中で再登場させる”感じがあります。reprises はその動詞形で、The band reprises the theme. のように使えます。
Notice `re-` for "again," but do not treat it as just another word for `repeat`. `Reprise` is often used in music, theater, or film when a part, role, or theme comes back again. Think of a song theme returning later in the performance.
