理論化するとは、観察されたデータや事実から理論や仮説を立てることです。科学的な考え方に基づいて、事象の説明や原則を構築します。
To theorize means to form or suggest ideas that try to explain something. It is often used in science, academic discussion, or when people guess about causes and meanings. The word can imply thoughtful reasoning, but sometimes it also suggests ideas without full proof yet.

theory（理論）をそのまま動詞にした形だと押さえると覚えやすいです。-ize は「〜化する」「〜にする」で、modernize, organize と同じ型。つまり theorize は「事実を見て、理論の形にする」。point は、prove のように「証明する」ではなく、観察結果から“こう説明できるのでは”と筋道を立てる段階の語だということ。scientists theorize that ... の形や、theorize about the cause のような使い方ごと覚えると定着します。
