覚え方のコツ Memory Tip
まず transfer を軸に覚えるとよい語です。transfer が「移す・譲る」なら、transferee はその結果として“受け取る側の人”。英語の -ee は interviewee, payee, addressee のように「動作を受ける側・対象」になりやすいので、transfer + ee で「譲渡を受ける人」と整理できます。法律・契約では transferor(譲る側)と対で出やすいので、語尾だけで role を見分ける練習をすると定着しやすいです。
Start from `transfer`. Then notice the ending `-ee`, which often means the person who receives an action, like `payee` or `interviewee`. So `transferee` is the receiving side, and it is often paired with `transferor`, the giving side.

transferee の語源・成り立ち Etymology
transferee は transfer に、受け手を表す接尾辞 -ee が付いた語です。transfer はラテン語 transferre にさかのぼり、trans-「越えて」+ ferre「運ぶ」で、原義は「向こうへ運ぶ」。だから transferee は「移されたものを受け取る人」という意味になります。
Transferee is formed from transfer and the suffix -ee, which marks the person who receives an action. Transfer comes from Latin transferre, from trans- meaning "across" and ferre meaning "to carry." Its original sense was "to carry across," and transferee came to mean the person to whom something is transferred.
