undigested は un-「〜でない」+ digest「消化する」。digest はラテン語 dis-「離して」+ gerere「運ぶ」にさかのぼり、食べ物を体内で処理して運ぶ感覚が核です。ingest や suggest も同じ gerere の仲間です。
