解説 Definition
人については、子どもなどがふざけたり騒いだりして手を焼かせることを表す。物や体の一部については、機械がうまく動かない、痛みや不調がぶり返すなど、何かが正常に働かず問題を起こす意味で使う。
If a person, especially a child, acts up, they behave badly, noisily, or in a difficult way. If a machine, body part, or system acts up, it does not work normally and starts causing problems. This is an informal expression.
