ルーレットとは、玉をはじいて盤上の数字や色の止まる場所で当たりを決める賭けを楽しむ仕組みです。円形の盤には番号と色が刻まれ、ディーラーが回転させた盤に玉を投じると、玉がひとつのポケットに落ちて勝敗が決まります。数学や幾何学の文脈では、円を転がすことで描かれるルーレット曲線を指す場合もあります。
