活性剤

活性剤とは、化学反応や酵素の働きなどを開始・促進・活性化する物質のことです。酵素や金属イオン、硬化反応を始める添加剤などがその役割を果たす場合があります。必ずしも触媒のようにエネルギー障壁を下げるものとは限りません。
An activator is something that causes a process to start or become more active. It is often used in science for a substance that increases a reaction, but it can also mean anything that triggers action.
