受取人

手紙や荷物などの送り先として記された人。宛名に書かれた受取人のこと。
An addressee is the person or group that a letter, email, speech, or message is directed to. The word is used when focusing on who receives the communication. It is more common in formal, academic, or technical contexts than in casual conversation.

address を「住所・宛名を書く」「話しかける」の基本語として押さえ、-ee を employee, interviewee などの「動作を受ける側」と一緒に覚えると定着しやすいです。つまり addressee は「address が向けられる人」＝受取人。sender（送り手）と対で覚えると混同しにくく、手紙・荷物・メールの宛名欄で出る語、という場面までセットにすると思い出しやすくなります。
