analogical は analogy に -ical が付いた語で、源流はギリシャ語 analogia です。ana-「〜に応じて」+ logos「比」から成り、もとは「対応した関係」の意。analogy や analogous と同根で、その対応を別の事柄へ移すので「類推的な」になります。
Analogical comes from analogy, with the adjective ending -ical added. Analogy goes back to Greek analogia, meaning a proportion or corresponding relation.
