集中化とは、権力、資源、または機能を中心的な場所または組織に集める過程です。分散化の反対です。
Centralization is the process of moving control, power, or activities into one main place or group. It is often used when talking about government, business, or organization systems. It can suggest better coordination, but sometimes less local freedom.

center / central が分かれば核はつかめます。centralize は「中心に集める」、-ation は「その過程・結果」なので、centralization は「中心へ寄せて一つにまとめること」。decentralization と対で覚えると強いです。政治なら power centralization、組織なら centralization of decision-making のように、権限や判断が現場ではなく中央へ集まる場面を思い浮かべると定着します。
