解説 Definition
石炭などを燃やしたあとや、セメント・れんがの製造工程で生じる、硬く焼き固まったかすや塊を指す語。炉やボイラー内に残る燃え殻のほか、セメントの原料となる焼成物をいう場合もある。
A clinker is a hard, dark lump left after coal or other material has burned. It is usually found in fires, furnaces, or industrial processes. In building and manufacturing, the word can also refer to a hard mass produced during heating.
