解説
皮膚の表皮の下にある層で、血管や神経を含む結合組織。真皮。
覚え方のコツ
skin よりかなり専門的な語ですが、dermatology（皮膚科）や dermatologist を知っていれば、derm- が「皮膚」まわりの印だとつながります。epidermis は epi-「上」が付いて表皮なので、dermis はその下にある本体の層＝真皮、と上下関係でセットにすると定着しやすいです。単独で覚えるより、collagen in the dermis, damage to the dermis のように、皮膚の内側で支える層として出る場面ごと覚えるのが有効です。surface の skin ではなく layer 名だという意識も大事です。
