下降気流

気象において、冷たい空気が下降する気流のこと。上昇気流とは逆で、積乱雲の中などで見られる現象である。航空機の安全に影響を与えることがある。
A downdraft is a current of air that moves downward. It is often used in weather, flying, and fire-related situations, because falling air can affect aircraft or spread smoke in unusual ways. The word is mainly technical, but it also appears in news reports.
