解説 Definition
雨や風、緊張といった強さが徐々に弱まるときに使う句動詞で、相手や自分にもう少し力を抜くよう促すときにも使える。使い方は、状況が穏やかになることを知らせる場合と、行動や態度を穏やかにするように求める場合の両方がある。
To ease up means to become less strong, less strict, or less active. It can be used for pain, bad weather, pressure, or rules. In informal English, it can also mean to relax or stop being so hard on someone.
