解説 Definition
「床」とは、建物や部屋の内部で人が歩く水平な面のことです。木材、タイル、コンクリートなど様々な素材で作られます。また「フロア」として建物の階数を表す意味でも使われることがあります。
A floor is the flat surface you walk on inside a room or building. It can also mean one level of a building, such as the first or second floor. The meaning is usually clear from the context.

"Floor" comes from Old English "flor," from an early Germanic word meaning a flat surface or ground. Its oldest sense was the flat bottom surface of a room or space. From that basic idea of a level surface, English later also used it for a whole level of a building.
