Happier is the comparative form of happy. It describes a person or situation as feeling or producing more pleasure, satisfaction, or contentment than before or than another person or situation.

happier は happy「幸せな」の比較級です。子音＋y で終わるため、y を i に替えて -er を付け、happyer ではなく happier とします。than ～で比較相手を示すほか、feel/look/become happier の形で以前より幸福な状態を表します。最上級 happiest と一緒に変化を覚えましょう。

It means “more happy,” either compared with an earlier state or with someone or something else. Useful patterns include “feel happier,” “look happier,” “make someone happier,” and “happier than before.” Learning happiest beside it reinforces the spelling change. Do not normally say “more happier,” because the -er ending already expresses the comparison.
