解説 Definition
何かが別のものにぶつかったり、作用を及ぼしたり、権利や領域を侵したりすることを表す名詞。専門分野では、骨や組織が神経・腱などを圧迫して痛みや機能障害を起こす状態を指すこともあり、一般語義と医学語義の両方で使われる。
Impingement is a situation where one thing presses against, hits, or interferes with another. It is common in medical language for pressure on a nerve or joint, and in formal language for limits on rights or space.
