解説 Definition

覚え方のコツ Memory Tip
まず definite を「はっきり決まった」と押さえると覚えやすいです。in- が付くとその反対で、「終わり・条件・範囲が決まっていない」状態になります。indefinite leave, indefinite suspension, for an indefinite period のように、特に期限未定の表現でよく出ます。infinite と少し紛らわしいですが、infinite は「無限そのもの」、indefinite は「いつまでか決まっていない・曖昧」という違いで整理すると定着します。
