interviewed の類義語・関連語

interviewed の語源・成り立ち Etymology

フランス語 entrevue(entre「間で」+ voir「見る」)が英語に入った語。二者が「互いに見合う→会見する」が原義。面接や取材の意味に発展した。関連語: review(見直す)、preview(予告)。

Interviewed is the regular past tense and past participle of interview. Interview entered English through French entrevue, historically connected with entre, “between,” and voir, “to see.” The earlier idea was a meeting in which people saw one another face to face. English later extended the noun and verb to formal questioning for journalism, employment, and research. The -ed ending marks past time or a completed/passive action.
