旧約聖書に登場するレビ族の一員。レビ族のうち祭司はアロンの子孫に限られ、それ以外のレビ人は祭司の補佐や神殿奉仕などを担いました。
A Levite is a member of the tribe of Levi in the Bible. The word is mainly used in religious, historical, and biblical discussions, especially about Jewish worship and temple duties. Levites had special roles, although they were not all priests.
