現在ではなく以前の立場・状態・所属を表す形容詞で、「かつての」「元〜の」という意味。昔はそうだったが今は違う人物や組織、地位などを説明するときに使う。通常、「一度限りの」という意味ではハイフン付きの one-time が用いられる。
