解説 Definition
コショウの植物の小さな実、またはそれを乾燥させた粒を指します。黒コショウに限らず、白・緑などの peppercorns もあり、丸ごとの粒をひいて香辛料として使います。
A peppercorn is the small dried fruit of the pepper plant, used as a spice. It is usually ground or added whole to food to give a hot, sharp flavor.
