回転翼航空機は、揚力を得るための回転翼を持つ航空機の総称です。ヘリコプターのほか、オートジャイロなども含まれます。機種によっては垂直離着陸や空中停止が可能ですが、すべての回転翼航空機に当てはまる特徴ではありません。
