直前に出た話題に関連して、別の情報や質問をつなげる表現です。「〜と言えば」「〜の話が出たので」のように、完全な別件ではなく、今の話題から自然に枝分かれさせる時に使います。
Speaking of is used to introduce a new topic that is connected to what was just said. It is common in conversation when one idea reminds you of another. It is similar to changing the subject, but the new subject is related.
