Antimatter is a kind of matter made of particles that are the opposite of the particles in ordinary matter. In physics, it is studied to understand the universe and how particles behave. When antimatter meets normal matter, they destroy each other and release energy.

覚え方のコツ Memory Tip
anti- は antiwar と同じ「反対の」、matter は物理学でいう「物質」。普通の物質と打ち消し合うイメージで覚えましょう。dark matter の matter も「物質」です。
