bronchitis は、まず語尾の -itis を「炎症の病名が多い型」として覚えると定着しやすいです。tonsillitis や dermatitis と同じ並びだと見ると、病気名でも意味の見当がつきます。前半の bronch- は bronchial（気管支の）や bronchoscope と仲間なので、「bronch- が出たら気管支まわり」と反応できるようにすると強いです。風邪のあとに cough や phlegm と一緒に出やすい語、pneumonia よりは浅いが chest cold よりははっきり病名、という位置づけで覚えると混同しにくくなります。
